No emergency decision regarding Sri Lanka
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh states that noemergency decisions regarding Sri Lanka will be taken. He stated this in response to a question posed by ajournalist at a lengthy media briefing held in New Delhi today (29). The �thats Tamil� website quoting Singh states that he willcontinue to closely observe the various issues related to the Tamil communityin Sri Lanka and the prevalent political situation in the country. The Prime Minister reiterated that no special action will betaken in regard to Sri Lanka and that India will adhere to the same principlesgoverning relations between neighboring countries such as China, Pakistan andBangladesh in dealing with Sri Lanka.
