Sexual violence against women in Vanni increases

Reports states sexual violence against the affected women by war in Vanni, has been increased in the past months. Accusations are that continuous harassments are faced by women by the military located in these areas.Military vehicles and three wheelers are parked in the Kilinochchi road ways, and women who are resettled in the nearby villages while walking for their daily functions are forcibly dragged and are sexually abused inside the vehicles. Such acts are not accepted by the women, but they are not in a position to do anything states information. This is the cause for one phase for racial brutal murders happening in Kilinochchi district.
