The President said this when questioned on why a political solution for the minorities had been delayed.

He also stated that it was the responsible of the Parliament to come up with a durable political solution.

How convenient. The spineless government parliamentarians will carry out MRs wishes. MR will support his own proposals.

The political solution is the 13th amendment as it is. There is no scope to devolve any more power whatsoever. The TNA better accept that there is no more scope to devolve any more power than this. Apart from the TNA nobody else in sri-lanka is demanding absurd demands. No land and police powers should be give to the PCs which would be a disaster for sri-lanka and the concurrent list should not be abolished. If the concurrent list is abolished it would be another disaster. The land belongs to all people of sri-lanka equally. The concurrent list is there as a safeguard. If it is abolished then the central govt will have nothing to do and will be powerless! It is crazy. The political solution should satisfy all minorities not just TNA and most importantly the majority as well, whatever majority and minority means. Only western countries, India, TNA and the LTTE terrorists in western countries are making crazy demands of sri-lanka and we should not in any way bow down to their crazy demands in any way sort or form.
