The government has no intention of increasing domestic fuel prices at present, Petroleum Industries Minister, Susil Premajayantha stated.This statement came in reply to allegations made by UNP Chief Organizer and Gampaha District MP John Amaratunga that the government was preparing another fuel hike.
The Minister charged that the UNP were attempting to help certain businessmen hide fuel stocks, to cause a fuel shortage and to scare the public about price hikes.
