Sri Lanka Freedom party support for the origination of parliament selective committee[ Saturday, 02 July 2011, 05:14.33 PM GMT +05:30 ]Sri Lanka Freedom party will give its utmost support to the proposal plan to the origination of a parliament selective committee in the aim of finding a settlement to the racial crisis. New SLC Interim Committee apointed

The New Sri Lanka Cricket interim Committee was installedtoday with Upali Darmadasa as the Chairman. The new committee comprise ofSidath Wettamuny, Prakash Shafter(Secretary), Nimal Perera(Treasurer) and Kumar Weerasuriya.

Upali Darmadasa to be appointed as the new Chairman of theSri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee, confidential sources told Ada Derana ashort while ago. The new Interim Committee will be appointed tomorrow.

 

On June 22, Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage toldAda Derana that he was �positively considering a change of administration andan election of office bearers at Sri Lanka Cricket after the current tour ofEngland�. He added that after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 most of the SriLanka Cricket Interim Committee members have shown interest to step down.
