TNA asks for a debate in parliament on North and East situation[ Sunday, 03 July 2011, 03:53.34 PM GMT +05:30 ]The members of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has requested for a debate in parliament on the current situation in the North and East and the issues faced by the Tamil people in the area.

According to the parliamentary sources, A one-day debate has been fixed for the purpose this week.

TNA parliamentarian said the party has prepared a report on the situation in the North and East and the issues faced by the Tamil people and that it would be tabled in parliament on the day of the debate.The TNA maintains that the issues faced by the Tamil people in the North and East need to be addressed urgently.
