Alastair Cook�s second ODI century couldn�t prevent SriLanka taking a 2-1 series lead over England with a six-wicket win at Lord�s.

 

Skipper Cook�s 119 - a one-day best for the opener - was themainstay of England�s total of 246-7, a below-par effort after they had won thetoss and opted to bat first.

 

Their score was soon put into context when MahelaJayawardene, fresh off a match-winning century at Headingley on Friday, put thetourists on their way with 79 at the top of the order.

 

Dinesh Chandimal then saw the Sri Lankans over the line,eventually, hitting an unbeaten 105 to see his side home with 10 balls tospare.
