Cabinet decisions to be release in all three languae - President Rajapaksa[ Friday, 01 July 2011, 01:54.43 PM GMT +05:30 ]President Mahinda Rajapaksa orders the authorities to make arrangements release the cabinet decisions in all three languages.

This order was made by the President during the cabinet meeting on last Wednesday.

According to the Ministerial sources all the government document such as cabinet decision, parliamentary draft bill should be released in all three languages.

Illangakoon appointment approved by cabinet

The cabinet has approved the apppointment of senior DIG N.K.Illangakoon as the new Inspector General of Police, the Government InformationDepartment said. Illangakoon functioned as the acting IGP until an appointmentis made after the retirement of former IGP Mahinda Balasuriya.

Cabinet to decide on new IGP tomorrow June 28, 2011  12:10 pm

Bookmark and Share The new Inspector General of Police (IGP) has already been named while his name will be submitted for cabinet approval tomorrow, said President Mahinda Rajapaksa.


During a breakfast meeting with media heads at Temple Trees today (28) the President also expressed that necessary action will be taken regarding the Channel 4 documentary in the near future.
